Mazda Repair: purge valve on mazda 6, mazda 6, acceleration

i have a 4 cylinder mazda 6 and it makes a wired noise ONLY when it idling i went to the dealer and they told its my purge valve making regular functioning noises.so my question is whats a purge valve and is it suppose to make noise when idling

if your talking about the purge valve for the Evap canister then no it's not to fucntion during idle it remains closed during idle cycles and also at acceleration the only time the evap is to purge is during regular crusing operation.
