Mazda Repair: 92 Protege Passive Shoulder Restraint, american operations, seatbelt

Question
How can I troubleshoot the passive shoulder restraint on the driver side of a 92 protege? It just stays to the back...

Answer
The passive seat belt may not move forward when the ignition switch is
off or the key is out.

Locate the joint box (JB) under left side of dash. Check for an
improperly installed fuse in the "open" holder located next to the power

window or sunroof fuse; THE HOLDER SHOULD BE OPEN AS THE FUSE IS NOT
USED ON 2WD MODELS. The fuse installed may be marked "Diff Lock 20amp."

Removing the fuse will allow the seatbelt to operate correctly.
