Mazda Repair: Rx7 Idling/ slow revving, exhaust gas recirculation valve, exhaust gas recirculation

QUESTION: Hello Sir My rx7 idles very erractically and also cuts off. When revving picks up very gradually, like it is straining. Just bought vehicle with this problem. Previous owner put  2 audi plugs on one housing which i removed and put a new set of 4 rxt plugs (7/9s). Had an auto to check, says no problem reported, that i shud change the fuel pump. Cud this be the problem.

ANSWER: a weak fuel pump can cause that problem yes you should also check the IAC, check for vucuum leaks, and also the egr valve

the iac is the idle air control solenoid and the egr is the exhaust gas recirculation valve the iac in mounted near the throttle and the egr is mounted on or near the exhaust manifold

sorry the steps for testing are long and i don't have the specs for your model
