Mazda Repair: 2001 626 AutomaticTransmission, valve body, solenoid

Question
Hi - on a 2001 626, v6. Automatic Transmission is experiencing a delayed shift from 2nd to 3rd when cold. I suspect a stuck solenoid. There are no trouble codes. I can access the valve body by removing the battery. Is it difficult to replace the solenoid? Any other suggestions as to what it might be. My Mazda has the gf4a-el transmission. Thanks for the help.

Answer
must solenoids are easy to replace just make sure you have the proper one and follow the repair manual to the letter. any auto tranny repair i always suggest you have it inspected and repaired by a tranny shop it's not something i'd suggest for the do-it yourselfer
