Mazda Repair: 1990 S90, intermittent failures, transmission problem

Question
Sorry not a Miata.  Between 30 and 50 mph there is a significant miss which seems to be more than one cylinder or possibly a transmission problem, since it only occurs in overdrive between 30and 50 on acceleration and not all the time, only intermittently, and usually only 3 or 4 misses and then accelerates normally.  Thinking it might be an injector I looked and only find the 3 on the right bank.  Is it possible there are only 3 each serving two cylinders?  Thanks

Answer
929, that makes more sense.

One injector for each cylinder.  Ignition issues can cause intermittent failures like what your experiencing and swapping parts is common maintenance so best to change out these commons first before moving on.  Injectors on that motor have a long life (over 200k I've seen)
