i have a 1996 mazda 626 manual transmission. while driving my rpm's will just drop to zero and cut off. it want start just turns over. but after 5-10min. it will start and do ok sometimes, and sometimes does it again. i have replaced crank sensor, fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor. still does it. nothing show up on dianostics checks. i even had a caytalac converter check. what else could be done or causeing this..

Check the MAS (mass airflow sensor) connection points, harness and wire connector.  The device can be cleaned with brake or throttle body cleaner.  Wiggling the connector or harness while the engine is running may force the problem are to show itself.
