Mazda Repair: 1991 MX6 Alternator, drive shaft, exit path

Question
I'm replacing the alternator on my '91 MX6. I've got the alternator unbolted but cannot find an exit path large enough to physically remove the alternator from the engine compartment. Is there some other component that needs to be removed so the alternator can be pulled out?

Answer
Hi Dave thanks for asking,
If I recall correctly these alternators are at the back of the engine  down low! these have to be removed by pulling out the drive shaft on the passanger side, this is only on some modles though, some of them you can squeeze out of there but it still has to come out by the drive shaft.
good luck
