Mazda Repair: Mazda 626 wont turn over, mazda 626 lx, neutral safety switch

I have a 94 mazda 626 LX. When I turn the key to the start position it will not turn over most of the time (occasionally it will start). If I shift it to neutral it will start every time. Could that be the neutral safety switch?

Hi Loris thanks for asking.
Yes this sounds like you do have a faulty neutral safety switch, they are not to expensive and it usualy doest take that long to install, probably about an hour, If it does start while its in gear like reverse then you may just need an adjustment. but more than likely its the switch.
