Mazda Repair: 1990 b-2600, crankshaft sensor, luck chris

Question
it is a fuel injected engine so would you go to the fuel pump and change that or injectors? I also checked for spark on #1 and #2 cylinders and it seem to be plenty thanks again

Question -
I have an engine that runs very rough I have replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil and fuel filter. the motor will idle and I can move the distributor and the idle will increase or decrease with the move.  It will die out once you try to step on the gas pedal.  The last time it was at the dealership they said the crankshaft sensor in the distributor was bad, just wanted another opinion on this.  thanks

Answer -
Hi Robert, I dont see it being to much an ignition problem, im not saying its not possible I just think with these symptoms it sounds more like a fuel delivery problem. Is this the older style with a carburator or is it fuel injected? get back to me and let me know?
good luck

Answer
Hi robert
I wouldnt really go to the fuel injectors, because they are individual, and i one went then you would notice a misfire not a stall condition, I would check the pressure coming out of the fuel pupm, and check the fuel regulator as well, the regulator controls how much pressure to send to hte injectors.
Good Luck
