Mazda Repair: mazda tribute 2001, mazda tribute, clock spring

Question
The airbag light on my mazda tribute comes on intermittently at times then just comes on and stays on at other times. Is this a clock spring problem or some other problem?

Hi Jerome thanks for asking,
It sounds like a problem with the clock spring, the way you can be sure is when you are in the car next time start it and just turn the wheel Lock-to-Lock all the way, if the light come on or goes of while doing this then it is the clockspring. If it doesnt then there is another problem and you should probably take this to a MAzda dealer so they can scam the module for stored codes, these stored codes will give the mechanic and idea of where the problem is and what needs to be replaced.
