Mazda Repair: mazda, engine oil leak, oil leaks

Question
have a 90 mazda 929s has oil leaks .cant tell where its coming for oil all over engine.no it engine oil.whats the best way to find leak

Answer
Hi Mat thanks for asking
The best way to find an engine oil leak is as follows, Use an engine degreasor or an engine shampoo and wash down the engine top and bottom, Use a pressure washer to do this. after the eninge is all nice and clean drive it around for about a half hour, then inspect the whole engine. you should not be able to see where the oil has leaked out,, there are many spots engine oil can leak from and some areas are very hard to see, like the crank seal behind the timimng cover, that could make it look like the oil pan is leaking when it is actually not leaking. It could also be any other oil so check every system that contains oil. Get back to me and tell me what you find..
Good Luck
