Mazda Repair: Mazda 323 Radio reset, mazda dealer, mazda 323

I have a Mazda 323 (02 reg, UK), and am having probs with the stereo. I have entered the wrong code code three times and have been locked out. the unit is now displaying ERR. It has done this before, and seems to reset itself automatically after a few weeks, but this time, it hasn't yet come back on !) I have heard that this ERR can be overidden, and the unit reset. Any idea how i do this ? Any help appreciated. Many Thanks. Rob D

I have never had a problem like this before, because i have never entered the wrong code. Only a Mazda dealer can give you this code that has to be enterd by the vin # on the vehicle. Is this even a stock radio? As far as I know the Mazda 323 didnt have a security feature on the radio. The ERR stands for ERROR and it can be over riddin but there is a certain procedure you are going to have to follow. Im sorry but i dont have the procedure for this system. All you have to do is contact a local Mazda dealer and they should be able to give you the procedures for unlocking the radio..
