Mazda Repair: Mazda 626 tail light, wing nuts, mazda 626

Question
How do I replace tail lights on a 1997 mazda 626?  I can remove two screws located towards the center of the car, but can't locate the remaining screws to remove the light cover.  Does the cover need to come off to replace a burned out bulb?

Answer
Hey Don thanks for Asking
I am not 100 percent sure on this one, but alot of vehicles require to change a tail light, to remove the cover inside the trunk directly behind the tail light assembly. sometimes there is plastic wing nuts holding it in and sometimes there is usually a few 10 mm nuts holdling the tail light in. If it doesnt have this style the other style will be a few phillips heads srews (Star), located on the top of the tail light when you open the trunk. All you have to do is remove these nuts, wingnuts or srews and gently remove the tail light, sometimes there is a sealant between the tail light assembly and the body, just pull on it gently and it will come out. After the tail light is out it is pretty staight forward to change the bulb.
Good luck
