Mercedes Benz repair: I need to know the name of a part, mercedes benz 560sl, number search results

under the front of a sl 560, in the center of the suspension, A bar with two bushings and a shock type cylinder attaches to the shaft. Please name the part and the cylinder. also would this part cause the car ti shimmy when the brakes are applied? It does cause the stearing to be loose. Thanks in advance for your site.
