Hi,
I have recently bought a Mercedes benz 230 1997, have no manual because it is used car. Have couple of question hop you can help me.I see a switch near gear SW. could you please tell me what is this for. The redeator dose required water to be checked frequently ?

NO; the radiator should not need to be checked, unless there is a leak.

Your local Mercedes Benz dealer can get you a new owners manual for roughly $20.00 USD.
