Mercedes Benz repair: 190E rough idle, mercedes benz 190e, number search results

Question
Recently changed idle valve on a 1990 2.6 190e to cure a fast idle.  Now it idles rough 200-500 rpm

Changing plugs ( well worn @ 25000 miles ) did help but still rough but at 500-700 rpm

I'd like to change fuel filter  - but can not find it !

Ignition wires seem ok

Answer:
Check all of the breather hoses for correct fit/mounting and cracks.
Test the EGR valve to see if it is sealing.

The fuel filter is behind the passenger rear half shaft, held by the fuel pump/fuel filter bracket assembly.
Replace the fuse in the overload relay with two new ten AMP.

If total vehicle miles are over 100K, replace the seals between intake and injector.
