QuestionI recently purchased a 1989 560SL. Some electrical things aren't working, including the heater and ac blower, and the radio. I replaced fuses, nothing, however I accidently jumped across two fuses with my test light and the blower motor came on. Any suggestions?
AnswerBad fuse holder, very common.
Open the box, test both sides of the holder from the bottom for power.
If there is power to one side, cut the wires to both sides, splice in a modern spade fuse holder.
If there is no power, run a fresh power feed from the battery, cut the CCU feed wire, splice in a modern spade fuse holder.
