Subaru Repair: What could be the problem?, cylinder head gasket, subaru legacy

Question
I need this car to work. I would greatly appreciate any advice short of driving the car off a cliff. 1991 Subaru Legacy L Auto I received it with water in the oil It had low compression in low gear. 1st gear would not gain RPM's when I pushed the accelerator. I could put it in neutral and rev up then put into gear to drive. Flushed the engine and did a change then replaced the spark plugs then flushed the radiator and used some heal a seal sealant. Let me know if you can help if not no worries and thanks for your time. Aloha Joshua

Answer
Judging by the fact that you had water in the oil and you are getting a power loss, you are most likely looking at a cylinder head gasket that is failing. Run another compression test. Whatever the weak cylinder is, that will be the side that the gasket is failing on. You can also tell by a brownish wet spark plug.
