just bought a 89 mb 560 sel v 8 for 500 dollars it runs but i know the fuel filter needs to be changed along with a tune up it was sitting for last 2 years seems like when i start it up it takes a while for fuel to be distibuted where is the fuel filter located and any other suggestions for tune up would be helpful It seems like one of the lines from the fuel distributor or 2 are full of oil should i blow them out also thanx shane

Fuel filter; right rear under car.
Sounds like the fuel system may be contaminated.
Remove fuel tank, clean, flush system and reinstall fuel tank.

How many miles on vehicle?
Did you get maintenance records?
Was it well maintained?
Over all condition?
thanx 4 advice but before i got to get online i found it and put a new filter in it, the car has 145 k on it the overall condition is good except that when it idles in park well even before i changed the filter and blew out the fuel dist lines the idle in park is very high, then i kicks down when i put it into drive is there a way to manually adjust the idle on the fuel distributer so it idles lower in park. it had new plugs and wires put in about 3 years ago and my brother said it kicked down the idle alot, would a faulty plug wire make it idle high in park? My brother has maintenance records but no manual so im kind of flying blind plus with no repair manual im just trying to figure it out little by little, also what are the two units by the fuel filter called sending units or something, also would a clogged vaccum line or a faulty pcv valve be the reason for the high idle and where is the pcv located thanx shane ps any advice on the high idle without costing me an arm in labor would be useful thanx

Vacuum lines are possible cause of high idle, but there are many other possible reasons.
The other units by the fuel filter are fuel pressure accumulator and fuel pump.
