Are the 4 window motors in the Mercedes 190E 2.6
(1988) interchangeable-- for instance, can I take
the back left door motor off and use it in the front left door temporarily?  This idea is an emergency measure to get the front left window up which is stuck half way down. Please reply if you
have time.

Answer
The answer is no.
You can dismount the bad motor, raise the window by hand, and remount the bad motor.
Do not connect the electric plug to the bad motor when the window is back up.
