Question
re; front disc brakes- how do you replace pads? I have done other brands but am stumped on these. do you take the caliper apart or do you need a special tool to remove the clips and rods that secure the pads in place. your help is much appreciated. thanks

Look at this picture link first:

Take a small drift pin or nail, and drive in upon the small end of the pin, the large collar is a spring lock, once the collar is driven clear of caliper, a pair of pliers will pull the pin.

You may want to replace the old pins.
The pads come out the top of caliper.
