Mercedes Benz repair: 1979 Benz 450 SLC Starter Removal, 450 slc, starter removal

Question
How do I remove the starter from this car. Have just removed entire exhaust system and can see one nut holding starter from beneath the car but cannot see or feel a second which must be somehwere as it is likely held in place by more than one fastener.
What is correct procedure for removal?
Plese be very specific as I am not familiar with mechanicals ofthis car but have owned it for 10 years and want to begin doing my own maintenance.
Do I need special tools?

The lower bolt is easy to access. The upper bolt is another story. You need a stubby 19mm wrench and a lot of patience. Reach down with your left hand and you can feel the bolt then lay the wrench on the bolt and break it loose. It is tough, but it can be done.
