MG Car Repair: rebound strap, moss motors, mossmotors

I have a broken rebound strap on my US 1977 MGB roadster,I broke the bottom bolt off ,how do I make repairs on it .  Thanks

The bottom bolt is welded to the axle casing.  You must cut off the old bolt and get a new one welded on.  Replacement bolts are available from Moss Motors:

When removing the old strap, you will find that it is stuck to the top bolt with rust.  The easiest way to remove it is to cut the strap with a sharp hobby knife and fit a new one.
