MG Car Repair: vacuum/emission connections, zenith stromberg, 1978 mg midget

I have a 1978 MG Midget, 1500 with a Zenith Stromberg 1504T and I am asking where may I find a better Diagram for the vacuum connections and Charcoal Canister connections, when I first got the car it had half of the hoses missing and a couple connections were plugged. It wants to start and I having been switching connections and also leaving them open but it still won't start
