Barrie, thank you for answering my question so fast.
 
 I forgot to mention that the interior, trunk lights, cigarette lighter, clock and radio are not working now. Could this still be in the same area?

Yes.  All the items you listed are powered off the bottom fuse.  Obviously, you should first check that the fuse has not blown.  If it isn't the fuse, then the other side of the fuse is a thin BROWN wire that is connected to the alternator.  Perhaps you have fried that wire.
