i would like to replace the jet, how do i get out?
thank you

ANSWER: Hi Ralph. This is not a DIY job. I strongly recommend that you have the jet replaced professionally, because if you get it wrong you could damage the carburetter, possibly beyond repair.

QUESTION: DEAR SIR:
YOU MAY BE RIGHT
ABOUT TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE REPLACE THE JET ,BUT I WANT TO TRY IT MYSELF, I HAVE BEEN WORKING AROUND CARS FOR ABOUT 50 YEARS, HAD A 1958 MGA BEFORE THIS 1976 MGB
THANK YOU
RALPH
AnswerOrder the jet from Moss Motors, and when it arrives have a look at it. From memory, I think it is a press fit, not a screw fit. You have got to extract the old jet and press the new one in. I must admit that I have never done one. If you do it wrong, you end up with an oversize hole in the carb body and then the carb is scrap.
