MG Car Repair: glove box lock, lock cylinder, lock smith

Howard - do you know how to remove the glove box lock cylinder on a '77 MGB?  I cannot figure out how the lock comes apart.  Also do you know where the glovebox keycode is?

Sorry Hugh, I don't think I ever took a lock cylinder out of a glove box lock. We had some lock problems but we just installed a new lock assembly which came with a new key.

The only key codes I ever seen and that was very few were on a card attached to the keys when the car was new and most were never seen again as the customers usually got rid of them or lost them.

We sent many to a lock smith.
