MG Car Repair: MGA 1600 Wiring Harness, gumball rally, rally vehicle

Question
Mr. Howard:

I have a MGA 1600 roadster that has an original wiring harness in which the wires have melted together.  I have rebuilt the engine and transmission along with other interior and exterior components.  Now, I am at the final stage and require a new wiring harness to be installed.  Can you give me any indication as to the amount of time required for the harness installation ?

Thanks,
Todd

Answer
Sorry Todd, there is no way for me to even guess how long it will take you to put a wiring harness in your "A". If you are worried about how many hours it will take you, you need to let someone else do it. I use to be able to put an MGB engine out of a car and on the floor in 35 minutes when I worked in the dealership and using the same tools and the same car takes me 3 hours now.
