MG Car Repair: hard shifting when hot, clutch system, mg midget

my 76 mg midget seems to shift ok when every thing is cold but after driving and getting oils up to temp the is car is very hard to get into gear . there also does not seem to be much clutch pedel maybe about an inch ,i had replaced clutch about 400 miles ago .

Hi Fred,
The clutch hydraulic system is non adjustable so if you have a lot of free play in the pedal, you need to first check the fluid level and bleed the clutch system. If that don't take the free play out of the pedal you may have a clutch problem. Use DOT 4 fluid.
