Tractor Repair: slave cylinder, cotter pin, clutch fluid

Question
i have a 6640 new holland and all of a sudden it is losing clutch fluid.empty the master cylinder in 4 hours if you use the clutch a lot.
do you have to split the tractor in 2 to get at the slave cylinder or is there another way around it ?

Answer
Make sure that it is not leaking on the outside of the tractor first. On the bottom of the transmission case is a cotter pin. If you move the cotter pin around your fluid if the slave cylinder is leaking will come out. If this is the case then you are going to split the tractor.
When you are in there take the clutch apart and redo it. You would hate to split it twice.
