MG Car Repair: 1965 sprite window, upper curve, window drivers

Question
Drivers window is hard to roll up or down, more so up. Lubed window crank mech with no help. Problem appears to be upper curve of window is rubbing inward side of forward window track. Pushing the top of the forward track (wing window side) inward towards cockpit  makes movement much easier. I tried adjusting the bottom of the window guides inside the door in and out forward and aft with little difference. Tried bending top of forward track a bit inward but it springs back.

Answer
Hi Al,
The in/out of the top of the window is controlled by the "A" post of the windshield. It sounds more like the rear track is a problem. I had to adjust door glass many times at the dealerships and 99% of the time the problem was the adjustment of the winder assembly to the door and the slave mount to the door too. If you will notice they are slotted for adjustment. Usually the glass it tilted forward or aft causing a problem. Also you need to use spray silicone on the tracks as they get dry and are hard to move.
