MG Car Repair: mgb fuel pump, british car club, roadster factory

Question
Is there a mounting bracket for the fuel pump for a 78 MBG.
I am replacing an after market with an su type ande don't
know how to mount it in the trunk.  I have not been able
to find a photo showing the exact nmounting.

Hi Brenda,
The original SU pump was mounted under the car in the front of the right hand side of the trunk and the electrical solenoid of the pump protruded into the trunk area. The large rubber and mounting brackets may still be under the car. If not you may have to fabricate your own. Another option is to contact your local British car club and try to find someone with a parts car. Many members of these clubs have or know where parts cars are. You can also try the normal parts suppliers but they may not have the mounting brackets as it is not a usual ware out part. (Moss Motors, The Roadster Factory, Engel Imports and British Parts North West) to name a few.
Also try Craigs List on the net to run a "Wanted Parts" ad.
