ANSWER: Hi Wesley,
What is wrong with your engine that it can't be rebuilt? All of the parts are available and most any auto machine shop can do the work. You can search for a 1500 Triumph Spitfire engine too since that is your engine. If you are wanting another engine for some reason you may try some of the larger parts suppliers like Moss Motors, The Roadster Factory or Victoria British. They have web sites and toll free numbers.

QUESTION: thanks, i had replaced lots of things and on it and i finally got it to spark. then i timed the engine, the fuel tank isnt hooked up so i sprayed gasoline into the carberettor. when i turned it over it sputtered a little but wouldnt start. then while i was turning it over i pulled on the throttle cable to let some air into the carberettor and as soon as i did it, it wouldnt turn over. ever since i did that it wont even turn over anymore. so im clueless.

Answer
Do you mean that the starter doesn't work or the engine is locked up?
Put it in 4th gear, brake off, spark plugs out and rock the car forward and back to see if the engine moves. If not spray WD-40 in the plug holes and rock the car back and forth to see if it moves. Was there oil in the engine when you tried to start it? You said the engine was in bad shape but you also said it was ok on emissions. Was it knocking? What was bad about it?
