MG Car Repair: MGB side window, vent window, wd 40

Question
Hi, the left window on my 68 MGB is very difficult to raise/lower, particularly
when the window is near the top of its travel.  I've removed the panel, and I
don't see anything broken or visibly interrupting the window travel.  I sprayed
a little WD-40 on the pivot points, but am not sure where to turn next.  The
car was recently restored (before I bought it) and the bolts and mechanisms
"appear" to be clean.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Charles,
You need to also lube the window channels front and back. Also if that does not correct it you will see that the winder assembly is mounted in the door shell so sometimes you can loosen the mounting bolts on the pivot point and move it a little to get a different leverage on the window. Also you need to apply grease to the roller slides that run across the bottom of the glass. If the car was recently restored you may find that the front quarter window can be moved forward a slight amount by loosening the mounting nuts and bump all of the hole slack out if the vent window is too far to the rear. As I remember there is no movement in the top of the rear channel.
