MG Car Repair: brake lights, yellow brick road, mgb roadster

Question
QUESTION: niether the brake lights nor the revesrse lights work.  All others do (tail lamps, blinkers etc.) Any suggestions?  If it is a fuse, where or which one would it likely be.  Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Matt,
It depends on what kind of car this is.

QUESTION: Sorry for that.  It is a 1976 MGB roadster.

Answer
Hi Matt,
Those are powered up by a green wire from the fuse box. When you check the fuses, don't just look at the fuse, check for power on the clips that hold the fuses because it is common for the clips to get corrosion and not make good contact to a good fuse.

I would tell you to follow the yellow brick road from there but this is a green brick road you need to follow and you have to find the problem then. Keep a bucket of water handy, just in case.
