MG Car Repair: Turn Signals on 1980 MGB, turn signal flasher, turn signal switch

We have a 1980 MGB and all the hazard lights work but the turn (directional) lights do not work.  Can you tell me what needs to be done to fix this problam

Hi Terry,
You first need a wiring diagram and a test light, then check for power on the turn signal flasher with the key on (green wire). It gets it's power from pin #7 on the hazard switch. Then test the output to the turn signal switch (Light green w/brown tracer wire from the flasher unit to the turn signal switch). If you have power that far, test the green w/red tracer and the green w/white tracer wires going to each side when you turn the switch to each side.

That is the complete turn signal circuit.
