MG Car Repair: Brake lights and turn signals, fuse panel, test light

Question
After working fine for several years, I suddenly lost my brake lights and turn signals on my '79 midget.  I have pulled and pushed the connectors and spent a few hours on my knees in the trunk of the Midget trying to get the lights to work.  I have not found the problem.  This has rendered a perfectly drivable and good little car undrivable for nearly a year now.  Any Ideas?

Answer
Hi David,
The stop lights, turn signals and other items are powered off of a fuse in the fuse panel. Use a test light and see that the fuse with all the green wires on one end is Hot with the key on. (Check the wire ends on both ends of the fuse not just the fuse).
