MG Car Repair: 71 MGB temperature sending unit, temp gauge, temperature sending unit

Hi.  Please describe where to locate the temperature sending unit for a 1971
MGB.  My temp gauge indicates 'H' after a few miles of warm up, but the engine
does not appear to be running hot or overheating.  I plan to start by replacing
the sending unit.  Thanks.

Hi Rob,
The temp sending unit is in the head at the front of the engine on the right hand side. Also be aware that there is a voltage stabilizer that powers the gauge and it is either located on the back of the instruments or on the fire wall behind the instruments. It changes the 12v to about 10v.
