MG Car Repair: Heater fan, heater fan, position switch

Hi Howard, I'm going through the heater fan controls in my 1980 MGB, and I'm confused by one point.  The fan switch on the dash seems to work, but it only switches the fan between high and low, not on and off.  It doesn't seem to have 3 positions.  Is this normal?

Hi Billy,
The Booster blower switch is a three position rocker switch. Up for off, center for low speed and down for high speed. If you have a two position switch it is the wrong switch for the US version MGB. All of the rocker switches look alike so if you have a two position switch for a fan switch check the other rocker switches for a three position switch where it don't belong.
