MG Car Repair: MG 1500 head, rocker shaft, head gaskets

It won't come off.... where's the bolt I missed?
I sure can't find it and that head is welded tight to the block

Hi Allen,
If you removed all of the head nuts including the ones under the rocker shaft and the head is stuck (not uncommon)
You might bolt the front of the head by a chain and use an engine hoist to put a strain on just the front and leave it over night like that. The sealer on most head gaskets will sometimes bond a head on tight.
Don't drive any kind of wedge in between the head and block. Even though they are both cast iron, you can damage the surfaces.
