MG Car Repair: 1973 MG Midget, mg midget, fuses

Question
There is a small silver cylinder under left side of dash.  Do you know what it is and what color wires go to it?  I can send you a digital picture if you like.

Also, What size fuses (amp) go in fusebox. British? American?

David, look at the end of the cylinder where the wires connect and tell me what the ID is of each connector (should be three) It is imprinted on the end plate and the plate is usually fiber.
The fuses are 35 amp and you can use the glass American replacements in place of the Lucas fuses.
