Mitsubishi Repair: 1999 Mitsubishi Galant ES V6, mitsubishi galant, starter problems

My husband drove the car home and parked it.  5 minutes later he went to start it and nothing. Not a click or anything.  The horn blew and we tried to jump it, so we think it's not the battery.  What could it be?  I'm thinking the alternator

The three main things you should have checked are the battery, the alternator, and the starter.  Problems to any of those can lead to the issue you're describing.  If you cannot get the car started at all or safely drive it to a mechanic, have it towed properly.
