Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi verada tcl anti-lock lights on, brake fluid reservoir, mitsubishi verada

Question
G,day Anthony, i have a 2003 Mitsubishi Verada Auto that has done 190,000km. TCL, Anti-lock and brake warning lights all lit up on the dash recently. I was a brake & clutch tech for 6 years back in the 80,s and thought maybe the fluid was breaking down. I changed all the brake fluid and have an excellent pedal, high and hard. The lights are still on though and im not sure what has caused it. All the brake pads are ok, handbrake cable needs adjusting only. Are the wheel sensors causing this to happen and what should i do next? Regards Rob

Answer
Rob,
The ABS wheel sensor can cause those lights to come on, along with a bad sensor in the brake fluid reservoir.  You may be able to find on the internet a way to pull the codes for the anti-lock braking system, which could tell you which wheel speed sensor may be faulty.  There's also the possibility that the ABS control unit or solenoid valve is faulty as well.  If you cannot check that yourself, have a mechanic inspect it for you.
Good luck!
