Mitsubishi Repair: 1993 Mitsubishi 3000gt sl rough idle, throttle position sensor, mitsubishi 3000gt

Question
Hello, i have a 1993 Mitsubishi 3000gt sl 5speed, it started missing and shaking while i take off and while im at a steady speed, i thought it was the plugs/wires. Also at the tailpipe you can hear a miss in the exhaust. The idle has been a little shaky since i bought the car but i replaced the idle air control valve, helped a little but not 100%, so I replaced the spark plugs and wires and now it hardly idles, its very rough and stalls out after a few seconds. Could it be a camshaft sensor, throttle position sensor, or a bad timing belt? Your answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
Erik,
Normally if you have a bad sensor or if your timing is off, your check engine line would come on.  Poor fuel supply, air supply, or even a weak alternator can cause the problem you describing. The alternator and battery are easy enough to check, so you may want to start there.  Beyond that, you can check your mass air intake sensor and your fuel pressure to make sure those are operating nominally.
Good luck!
