Mitsubishi Repair: timing belt tensioner, timing belt tensioner, critical job

i have 93 eclipse 2.0 non turbo have paid a local garage 2 fix the timing belt both times he fixed drove car total 20 miles timing belt loose car starts missing timing belt loose bought new tensioner still no good what is this guy doing wrong please tell me so i can fix it myself hes had it 2 monthes fixed it twice same thing happens pleeeeeeeeeeeezze  help

It's hard to say what your mechanic is doing wrong, since there are several steps required in replacing the timing belt.  I would recommend that if your mechanic has already failed do this job twice, it may be time to bring it to a dealership mechanic as there may have been other components that need replacing that your mechanic did not do.  Dealership mechanics will usually charge more, but they will get this critical job done correctly and warranty the labor and parts required.
