Question
i keep having to put in my code for the radio and my light in side my car isn't working when the car is on and off. does this mean i need to get a new fuse? i checked the fuse box and it seems to be all the fuses in the yellow section in the fuse box not working

Answer
Mychal,
If this was a fuse problem, then the radio probably wouldn't come on at all.  Car radios are normally connected to the ignition wire, which turns the radio on when the car is running and shuts it off when the car is off.  But even while the car is off, the radio is connected to a constant 12 volts, so it can maintain it's settings while the car is off.  It sounds like your radio has a problem with this constant 12 volt connection, and is essentially causing the radio to reset every time the car is turned off; as if you disconnected the battery from the car.  I would recommend checking your car's battery and making sure cables are firmly attached, and make sure the terminals are free of corrosion.
Good luck!
