Mitsubishi Repair: 1999 Mitsubishi Galant . Just died, mass air sensor, mitsubishi galant

Hello. My sons buddy has a 1999 GALANT ES 2.4L AUTO. On the way over car just died on them. Has no spark. Checked all the fuses and made sure nothing came unplugged. Is this a unique problem or is there something common that goes out on these vehicles that I can check? Any suggestion and ideas would be appreciated.

There's nothing specific I can think of for this particular vehicle.  No spark can be caused by anything from a ignition coil to a malfunctioning computer.  Validate that the fuel pump is pressurizing properly.  Also inspect the mass air sensor that should be attached to or near the air filter.  Improper ignition timing can also cause a no spark situation.  Make sure the timing belts are still in the proper position.
