Mitsubishi Repair: oil light is blinking, oil pressure switch, low oil pressure

My 2002 Mitsubish Galant with 99000 miles the oil light is blinkibng when the car is not running. but when it accelerates or i hit the gas peddal it turns off. so what do u think is the problem.

Generally, the oil light comes on when it detects low oil pressure; typically caused by low oil level.  Check your oil level and if it's been more than 5000 miles since your last oil & filter change, do so.  If that does not help, you may need to have your oil pressure switch replaced.
