Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Colt Transmission Issue, clutch master cylinder, mitsubishi colt

Question
Hi Linda,

I've been having trouble wit my mitsubishi colt's gearbox, its the second colt I've had and it pretty much the same problem Im having again,

It seems that the gearbox gets really stiff sometimes, when goin from 3rd to second mostly but its stiffish all round.

I have a mitsubishi colt 95 1.3
Second is a mitsubishi colt 99 1.3

I was wondering could it be damaged in some way or could it have to do witht the oil in the gearbox or something like that??

Its odd that its happening to both,
Any help would be great

Regards,
Alan

Answer
Alan: I am sorry it took me a bit longer to get back to you. I did some checking with friends and checked the Internet. I would first off check with Mitsubishi to see if there might be a recall about this, when you have two different years of car but with the same problem. Even if your cars are to old to get the dealership to fix them as in a recall; they might be able to tell you how to fix the problem. Other wise, I am not sure if you are talking about a clutch or a auto. But for a clutch; check the clutch, clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder. If an auto I would say try changing the fluid and the filter. I do hope this helps you but if not write me again and I will do more checking. I did not want you to think I had forgot you, just that I was checking around a bit. I did not know that Mitsubishi made a colt and so this was all new to me. Do hope this helps you though. Good luck!
