Mitsubishi Repair: wheel bearings, wheel bearings, hydraulic press

Question
I HAVE 1998 ECLIPSE AND I WAS WONDERING IF THE WHEEL BEARINGS WHERE SEPARATE FROM THE HUB WHEN BUYING THE PART?

Answer
Julie,
If purchasing the part from the dealership, the hub and bearing come together as an assembly.  Though most parts stores sell the hub/bearing assembly together as well, you should be able to buy the bearing separate.  Though the bearing itself is the roughly 90% of the cost of the hub/bearing assembly and if you were to purchase it separately, you'd need a hydraulic press to press the bearing into the hub.  It's also much easier to replace the entire assembly then to mess with just trying to replace the bearing.
Good luck!
